This section is dedicated to Tilt angle of the Heliospheric Current Sheet .
Data are taken from The Wilcox Solar Observatory.
Values are provided for the maximum northern and southern extent of the HCS as well as the average. The classic model L uses a line-of-sight boundary condition at the photosphere and includes a significant polar field correction. A newer, possibly more accurate, model R uses a radial boundary condition at the photosphere, and requires no polar field correction.
Data is updated about every month.
